Summary From Goodreads:

Schuyler Van Allen's blood legacy has just been called into question: is the young vampire in fact a Blue Blood, or is it the sinister Silver Blood that runs through her veins? As controversy swirls, Schuyler is left stranded in the Force household, trapped under the same roof as her cunning nemesis, Mimi Force, and her forbidden crush, Jack Force.

When an ancient place of power is threatened in Rio de Janeiro, however, the Blue Bloods need Schuyler on their side. The stakes are high, the battle is bloody; and through it all Schuyler is torn between duty and passion, love and freedom.

Romance, glamour, and vampire love collide in the highly anticipated third book in the best-selling author Melissa de la Cruz's Blue Bloods series.

Review:

I really like this series! This is the third installment of the Blue Bloods Series. There was lots of twists and turns that I did not expect to happen. I  also really like the plot and characters. I had a lot of questions and most of them were answered in this book. The only down side of this book that I can think of is that it was slower paced then the first two, I kept thinking "Just get to the point".  But all in all, this series is really good and I would recommend it to anyone who wants like a Twilight Vampire story.

Rich with glamour, attitude, and vampire lore, this second installment in the Blue Bloods saga will leave readers thirsting for more.

Review:

Another good read in the Blue Blood Series. This book has action, romance, suspense, and vampires. I could not put this book down! It is one of those books that you have to know what happens next and leaves you wanting more. I love the characters in this book some of them you love and some you hate. The ending is great cliff hanger making you want to buy the next book. Recommend this to anyone who liked the Twilight or didn't like, but likes a good vampire novel.

Love this series, on to the next!

Review of Blue Bloods

Title: Blue Bloods
Author: Melissa De La Cruz
Published: April 25, 2006
Pages: 302
Rating: 4/5

Summary From Goodreads:

When the Mayflower set sail in 1620, it carried on board the men and women who would shape America: Miles Standish; John Alden; Constance Hopkins. But some among the Pilgrims were not pure of heart; they were not escaping religious persecution. Indeed, they were not even human. They were vampires. The vampires assimilated quickly into the New World. Rising to levels of enormous power, wealth, and influence, they were the celebrated blue bloods of American society.

The Blue Bloods vowed that their immortal status would remain a closely guarded secret. And they kept that secret for centuries. But now, in New York City, the secret is seeping out. Schuyler Van Alen is a sophomore at a prestigious private school. She prefers baggy, vintage clothes instead of the Prada and pearls worn by her classmates, and she lives with her reclusive grandmother in a dilapated mansion. Schuyler is a loner...and happy that way. Suddenly, when she turns fifteen, there is a visible mosaic of blue veins on her arm. She starts to crave raw food and she is having flashbacks to ancient times. Then a popular girl from her school is found dead... drained of all her blood. Schuyler doesn't know what to think, but she wants to find out the secrets the Blue Bloods are keeping. But is she herself in danger?

Review:

I have read this book before but since I recently bought the fifth book in the series, I cannot for the life of me remember what has happened. I never did a review on this book series so here it is..

Blue bloods is the first book in the Blue Bloods Series. I really liked this book, in a way it kind of reminds me of The House of Night Series or even the Twilight series (maybe even better).  The book has suspense, romance, and a little action. The main character Schuyler, I can relate to and maybe that is way I like reading this series. I also liked how Melissa De La Cruz put in letters from 1620 and just made that extra effort in picturing what the fear they had back then. All in all  a reading fun, interesting read and i do recommend this to anyone who likes reading about vampires.

Review of Mockingjay

Title: Mockingjay
Author: Suzanne Collins
Published: August 24, 2010
Pages: 390
Rating: 3.5/5

Summary From Goodreads:

Young Katniss Everdeen has survived the dreaded Hunger Games not once, but twice, but even now she can find no relief. In fact, the dangers seem to be escalating: President Snow has declared an all-out war on Katniss, her family, her friends, and all the oppressed people of District 12. The thrill-packed final installment of Suzanne Collins' Hunger Games trilogy will keep young hearts pounding.

Review:

I loved the other two books in the Hunger Games Series but for some reason I could not get into this book. I really wanted to like it but it was slow moving and the action that was in it did not compare to her other two books. The ending to me sucked! Katniss did not end up with the person I wanted her to be and they killed people that I didn't want to die.  The ending was just so messed up, maybe the author felt a rush to finish this book. I can't wait till the movie comes out for the first book, saw the trailer and it looks pretty good.:)

PS Did anyone feel the same as me or did you like the ending?

A Little Update....

Hello,

So my life is pretty crazy right now..I don't even know if people read my blog.... Anyways I'll tell you what's happening in Tara's life...

So I just graduated college in Office Administrative Assistant in June, then I took the summer off because I have been in school for most of my life and right after high school I went to college right away so I had took a summer off when I finished college and also I turned 19 and in Canada you're legal to drink and gamble and whatnot.. So I had a fun summer then came September, I was going to look for a job and was trying to but I have braces and a pretty sever under-bite that I was going to have a surgery to correct it during the summer or fall. So I wasn't really sure if I should try to  find a job or not. Summer past and Fall came and I went to see the surgery guy last month (October) and he said I was ready for the surgery ( I was glad I didn't get a job right away because I would have to leave for 6 weeks in recovery and what if I really liked that job? That would suck.) My surgery date is OFFICIALLY on December 5! What I am getting done is they have to break my bottom jaw and bring it in more and they are also breaking my my top jaw and bringing it forward. I have always wanted it done and I cannot wait til it is.

About my health, since I am going into surgery soon, lately I have in the mornings and during the day I am fine but at night I get the like flu symptoms. My mom thinks it's because I am low on Iron but I have had that before but nothing like this. With the low Iron I was tired a lot, not having this flu like symptoms. This has been going on about a week now. Last night I Googled my symptoms and guess what I got : I'm either hung over ( not likely), Pregnant ( definitely not likely), low on Iron, or Calcium or Omega 3 (possibly). My mom is going to pick me up some Omega 3 to see if that helps if not I'll have to see a doctor ( bleck, I don't like going to see doctors, not a fear, just hate sitting in an office area with sick people...) But I have to be healthy for the surgery.

I haven't really been in a reading mood lately, I don't know why though. Maybe because I am not feeling the best. I have my friend kid's first birthday this Sunday, first time shopping for a little kid, gosh it was hard could not deside on what to get so I got (she doesn't read my blog) this creepy looking doll thing that talks , well i think it's creepy ( hope she likes it haha) and two little books. Anyways let me know if anyone of you who reads my blog knows someone who has done this surgery a lot of my friends friends has gotten it done.

PS so sorry that this is a long post, here is a picture to make it up to you:)
