Review of Misguided Angel

Title: Misguided Angel
Author: Melissa De La Cruz
Published: October 26. 2010
Pages: 265
Rating: 3.5/5

Summary From Goodreads:

After inheriting the dark Van Alen Legacy, Schuyler fled to Florence with her forbidden love, Jack. Now the two of them must embark on the mission Schuyler was destined to complete: to find and protect the five remaining gates that guard the earth from Lucifer, lord of the Silver Bloods.

Back in New York, Mimi has been elected Regent of a crumbling coven. Struggling with her heartache over the loss of Kingsley and with her overwhelming desire to destroy Jack, she must focus all of her energy on a perilous new threat. Vampires are being abducted and their captors are planning to burn them alive online…for all the world to see. Help arrives in the form of Deming Chen, a Venator from Shanghai, who must untangle the web of deceptions before the killers strike again.

As the young vampires struggle for the survival of the coven, they uncover a deadly secret, a truth first discovered by Schuyler’s mother during the Renaissance but kept buried for centuries. And as the Blue Blood enclave weakens yet further, fate leads Schuyler to a terrible choice that will ultimately map the destiny of her heart.

Review:

This book was a little confusing to me. New characters were added that I really did not care about. I still liked it with Schuyler fleeing with Jack was the best parts in the book. Mimi on the other hand I did not care about I mean I like her but she got so annoying and her parts in the book dragged on and on. I did like the ending though. But.... WHERE IS BLISS? She wasn't in this book at all and I wanted to know what happened to her. I did look on Melissa De La Cruz's website and there is a spin off with her so maybe I will have to buy that one to know what happened. This one really did compare to the last one I read, I am not sure if I will buy the other two books in this series or just stop reading them here.....I am on the fence......

Review of The Van Alen Legacy

Title: Van Alen Legacy
Author: Melissa De La Cruz
Published: October 6, 2009
Pages: 384
Rating: 4/5

Summary From Goodreads:

With the stunning revelation surrounding Bliss's true identity comes the growing threat of the sinister Silver Bloods. Once left to live the glamorous life in New York City, the Blue Bloods now find themselves in an epic battle for survival. Not to worry, love is still in the air for the young vampires of the Upper East Side. Or is it? Jack and Schuyler are over. Oliver's brokenhearted. And only the cunning Mimi seems to be happily engaged.

Young, fanged, and fabulous, Melissa de la Cruz's vampires unite in this highly anticipated fourth installment of the Blue Bloods series.

Review:

What can I say? It's another great book in this series! I love everything about this book! It takes interesting twists and turns that I totally forgot about. I love Schuyler and Oliver's relationship and I kinda wish I had that close of a relationship with a guy friend (which I don't even have any close guy friends).  I loved how the author put other characters viewpoints. I cannot believe what happened to Bliss ....no spoilers.:) Anyways I love, love, this series and starting the next one tonight. :)

PS Surgery went great and just starting to feel much better. Swelling is still kind of big ( just my upper lip is swollen kinda looks like I got botox haha) but all in all I am happy with it and cannot wait what I will look like when the swelling goes down.

Day before Surgery

Just a heads up I probably wont be on here for quite a while as I am going into surgery tomorrow. I hopefully will do a lot of reading, but since this is my first pretty major surgery, I do not know how I will be after.

Hope you guys are well and talk to you hopefully soon:)
