Review:

This is the third and final book in the Shiver series. I really liked this series, I did not really like the ending of the series though, it left me more questions that did not get answered in the book. What I did like though was the different points of views they had, I liked knowing what the other characters thought of situations. But I was disappointed in this book, it wasn't what I excepted to end the series but all in all it was a good fast read.

Review of Wither

Wither (The Chemical Garden, #1)

Title: Wither (The Chemical Garden #1)
Author: Lauren DeStefano
Published: 2011
Pages: 358
Rating: 4/5

Summary From Goodreads:

By age sixteen, Rhine Ellery has four years left to live. A botched effort to create a perfect race has left all males born with a lifespan of 25 years, and females a lifespan of 20 years--leaving the world in a state of panic. Geneticists seek a miracle antidote to restore the human race, desperate orphans crowd the population, crime and poverty have skyrocketed, and young girls are being kidnapped and sold as polygamous brides to bear more children. When Rhine is sold as a bride, she vows to do all she can to escape. Yet her husband, Linden, is hopelessly in love with her, and Rhine can't bring herself to hate him as much as she'd like to. He opens her to a magical world of wealth and illusion she never thought existed, and it almost makes it possible to ignore the clock ticking away her short life. But Rhine quickly learns that not everything in her new husband's strange world is what it seems. Her father-in-law, an eccentric doctor bent on finding the antidote, is hoarding corpses in the basement; her fellow sister wives are to be trusted one day and feared the next; and Rhine has no way to communicate to her twin brother that she is safe and alive.

Together with one of Linden's servants, Gabriel, Rhine attempts to escape just before her seventeenth birthday. But in a world that continues to spiral into anarchy, is there any hope for freedom?

Review:

First I will like to say that I love the cover on this book its so pretty and so creepy at the same time! Love it! Anyways, I really liked this book. It kept me reading in all hours of the night! When I first picked this up I have never heard of Wither, so I did not have high expectations in it. The plot is captivating and creepy that makes you  hunger for more. Some of the issues though, are meant for mature readers. I personally really enjoyed this book and will be buying the next in the series. If you want creepy, daring, romance, and twists and turns around every corner, this is a book for you.

Review of Thirteen Reasons Why

Thirteen Reasons Why

Title: Thirteen Reasons Why
Author: Jay Asher
Published: October 18,2007
Pages: 288
Rating: 5/5

Summary From Goodreads:

Clay Jensen returns home from school to find a mysterious box with his name on it lying on his porch. Inside he discovers thirteen cassette tapes recorded by Hannah Baker, his classmate and crush who committed suicide two weeks earlier.

On tape, Hannah explains that there are thirteen reasons why she decided to end her life. Clay is one of them. If he listens, he'll find out how he made the list.

Through Hannah and Clay's dual narratives, debut author Jay Asher weaves an intricate and heartrending story of confusion and desperation that will deeply affect teen readers.

Review:

I would like every teen to read this book, even though I am not a teen anymore, I had a friend thinking about killing herself and even started cutting too. She's way better now but back then I didn't know how to help her and we kind of drifted apart. Anyways, I really liked this book and it has a great message about how just one person actions even if its something little can change a persons life. Also, I liked how it was two simultaneous narratives, the raw emotions from Clay and Hannah made you feel like you were with them going through this.  All in all, this is really a good book even though it might be hard to read, it will defiantly change how you affect peoples lives.

Review of Specials

Specials

Title: Specials (Uglies #3)
Author: Scott Westerfeld
Published: May 3, 2011
Pages: 350
Rating: 3/5

Summary From Goodreads:

"Special Circumstances":

The words have sent chills down Tally's spine since her days as a repellent, rebellious ugly. Back then Specials were a sinister rumor -- frighteningly beautiful, dangerously strong, breathtakingly fast. Ordinary pretties might live their whole lives without meeting a Special. But Tally's never been ordinary.

And now she's been turned into one of them: a superamped fighting machine, engineered to keep the uglies down and the pretties stupid.

The strength, the speed, and the clarity and focus of her thinking feel better than anything Tally can remember. Most of the time. One tiny corner of her heart still remembers something more.

Still, it's easy to tune that out -- until Tally's offered a chance to stamp out the rebels of the New Smoke permanently. It all comes down to one last choice: listen to that tiny, faint heartbeat, or carry out the mission she's programmed to complete. Either way, Tally's world will never be the same.

Review:

This is the third book in the Uglies series. I had a hard time reading this one just because it was kinda slow in the beginning, but as I started to read more and more it quickly builds the speed in it. Tally's character grows dramatically in each book and I like it because even in real life different situations changes peoples behavior and how they act because of it. I also didn't really like the ending like really Tally would choose that instead( no spoliers but if you have read it you know what I am talking about). That kind of pissed me off, if I had to choose I would be helping Shay and her friends out. Anyways all in all, I did really enjoy this series not sure if I will read the 4th one though but maybe in a while I will.
