The Hunger Games Review

Title: The Hunger Games
Author: Suzanne Collins
Published: September 14th 2008
Pages: 374
Rating: 5/5

Summary From Goodreads:

In the ruins of a place once known as North America lies the nation of Panem, a shining Capitol surrounded by twelve outlying districts. The Capitol is harsh and cruel and keeps the districts in line by forcing them all to send one boy and one girl between the ages of twelve and eighteen to participate in the annual Hunger Games, a fight to the death on live TV.

Sixteen-year-old Katniss Everdeen, who lives alone with her mother and younger sister, regards it as a death sentence when she steps forward to take her sister's place in the Games. But Katniss has been close to dead before—and survival, for her, is second nature. Without really meaning to, she becomes a contender. But if she is to win, she will have to start making choices that will weigh survival against humanity and life against love.

Review:

Well, I have heard so many good things about this book and then I heard it was becoming a movie and most movies that are made from books are awesome, so I saw The Hunger Games on sale and I pick it up. Thank goodness I did! I loved this book from start to finish, read it in one day! The book has a very interesting and brilliant plot that makes you wanting more. The characters are great and easy to love them. Great, great book! Once I get more money I am going to pick up the second and third novels!

PS Do you think the cast fits in with the characters. I think they did pretty good love how Liam Hemsworth is in it! Loved him in the Last Song.
